Hey Y’all! I am Jayla Herring, a country girl from the “big city” of Hawthorne, FL (we have a
population of roughly 1,600 — livestock and pets included), and a budding producer. I am a Fall
2021 Broadcast Journalism graduate of Florida A&M University. After I graduated, I moved to Atlanta and became an apprentice of Rob and Shaun Hardy’s Amazing Story Foundation. The program landed me my first TV show, Single Drunk Female. Professionally, I’ve worked as a Line Producers Assistant, and Talent Associate Producer. My favorite part of working in the film industry is building these nuclear families with crew and creating heartfelt memories. Some of my credits include Tyler Perry’s Mea Culpa, Fight Night, Queens Court Season 2 and Tyler Perry’s Divorce in the Black.
When I place my pen down and tap into myself, I enjoy pretending I’m a ‘Master Chef’ contestant creating recipes, traveling to new places and I’m an aerial silks artist.
