Known for her wit and engaging captions, DeAsia holds a Master’s in New Media Journalism and was honored with the Media Maven Award at the 2024 Black Hollywood Honors. Her work has been featured in Variety Magazine, BET, Us Weekly, and more. Inspired by icons like Wendy Williams and Oprah, she continues to make her mark in the media industry with innovative projects and a vibrant personality.

She currently co-hosts the Joe Budden Podcast, one of today’s most influential cultural platforms, and recently launched her own show, Hot and Bothered, where she’s amplifying real conversations around womanhood, growth, and self-discovery.
In addition to delivering a powerful message at our event, Melyssa will also be receiving the Trailblazer in Media Excellence award — recognizing her leadership, legacy, and continued contributions to the media landscape.
